Sean Kingston: Confirmed for Coke Zero Concert

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Dancehall-flavoured international superstar Sean Kingston is all set to rock the Cable and Wireless Golf Academy on January 16 with a cadre of sizzling hot local acts as beverage giants Coke Zero encompass the city and “start 2010 right”.

Coca-Cola country manager Chris Hardy explained that the concert is shaping up to make an indelible mark on the entertainment scene. In addition to the appearance of the platinum-selling Kingston, dancehall stars such as the ‘energy god’ Elephant Man, dancer-cum-artiste Ding Dong, dancehall’s resident hot girl D'Angel, the lyrically lethal Laden and producer-turned-artiste Demarco are on the bill. The event will also get to experience the hip-hop swaggerific stylings of Serani, the scintillating sounds of Chino and sultry notes from Alaine. Epic harmonies from Etana and rising dancehall young’n QQ round out the slew of local talent lined up for the event.

Hardy explained that persons will have to take three Coke-Zero labels and $100 to any branch of Burger King or Mother’s restaurants and redeem them for a ticket to the event.

“Yes, only three Coke Zero labels and $100. Unbeatable value and it’s all because Coke Zero has so much to be grateful for and we just want to say thanks to Jamaica for embracing the brand with open arms. We’ve embraced the culture and the country, and Jamaica has shown nothing but love to us,” Hardy remarked.

There will also be in-store promotions across the island, and Coke Zero is working on some surprises that they aren’t ready to talk about yet.

Hardy added that there will be “lots of other surprises on the promotion trail that is just gonna take over Jamaica. Coke Zero is a brand with a lot of energy, and generates a lot of excitement and it’s the brand that we’re going to push to associate with anything to do with music and entertainment, and this is our own production, so you know its going to be very sweet”.

With feature performances from platinum-selling, dancehall-flavoured international artiste Sean Kingston, alongside Elephant Man, D’Angel, Chino, Laden, Demarco, Serani, the Coke Zero concert is set to ignite the entertainment calendar for 2010 as it takes over the grounds of the Cable and Wireless Golf Academy on Saturday January 16. Tickets are available at any branch of Mothers or Burger King restaurants, and may be collected by redeeming three Coke Zero labels.
