"Its my third tour of Europe and it just gets better, its always a joy to see people from all nations in the crowd who's first language is not English singing along to my songs. Its a great feeling and inspires me to continue making great music. Life on the road can be tough, you have to just condition your mind and get physically fit because its just traveling and shows day after day. Its a joy to see the people's reaction out there 7,000 miles away from mi yard so its something I love doing."

Mavado @ Video Shoot in New Kingston

Manager Julian told us, "This tour we ventured into markets Mavado hasnt played before, Promoters in Helsinki, Finland, said it was the biggest Dancehall show ever there. The Stockholm and Copenhagen shows were also very well attended and the crowds were full of energy. These shows were on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights so to see Dancehall music getting that support so far from its epicentre is encouraging."

Look out for the new video from StarBwoy which should be coming out soon.

TIDBITS: Black Ryno European Tour and Allegations of assault

Wednesday, September 1, 2010

Caribbean Lifestyle Media-Black Ryno who changed his name to Di Stinger after leaving the Portmore Empire is reported to be gearing up for a tour of Europe featuring Sean Da Entertainer (Wyclef’s Refugee All-Star Sound) and G-Mac. The event is being promoted by Refugee All-Star in association with Rhythm and Flow. The tour is set to take place from November 3rd to November 23rd.

Recently it was alleged that Black Ryno was involved in an altercation with sound selector Boom Boom.  Black Ryno had this to say about the allegations, “ It has been brought to my attention that Boom Boom was attacked by a group of men said to be aligned to me at the popular street dance Uptown Mondays, this is rather unfortunate. Though I was at the event with a few friends on the day in question, it was only for a short period of time and I left the venue long before the melee unfolded and went straight home. Contrary to rumours, there was absolutely no physical or verbal exchanges between me and Boom Boom. As for the men who allegedly attacked him, neither do I know them nor are they affiliated to me or my camp in any way."

Black Ryno aka Di Stinga by all measures seem to have a promising career ahead of him after leaving the Empire-further speculation of assaults justified or not can impact his career for the long-term.  Ryno himself was rumoured to have left Portmore Empire under alleged similar circumstances of threatened assault-said to have been addressed in his song "Mi Lef".  You decide...
