BUZz: Sadiki Scores Big as “African Queen” Becomes His 1st #1 UK Single!

Reggae singer/songwriter/producer Sadiki scored his 1st #1 UK single with “African Queen” yesterday on the BBC World Reggae Beat Top 10 Chart. The song is the lead single from his Lifeline album (released 9/2/10 on Skinny Bwoy/Joe Fraser Records). The album, now two weeks into its’ physical release, still sits on the VP Records best-sellers list.

Sadiki’s Lifeline is international lover’s rock reggae at it’s finest. Boasting production from veteran producer Lloyd Campbell, Jason Sterling and Sadiki, the album’s 16 tracks takes you on a slow, sultry and sometimes painful journey through the ups and downs of love and relationships. A stellar cast of musician’s which includes Dean Fraser, Sly and Robbie, Mafia and Fluxy, “Computer” Paul Henton and Sir Duke Reid, have been assembled to create the lush bed of music over which Sadiki’s vocals float effortlessly.
