Teflon: Returns from European tour

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Reggae artiste Teflon returned home last week after a seven week extensive tour of Europe with Internationally acclaimed reggae icon Sizzla and the Fire house Band. The tour which saw the fire brand entertainer performing in countries such as Spain, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden and Germany was beyond successful. Except for three shows cancelled, each night Teflon performed to a jam packed audience. According to the conscious artiste “my music is very popular in every country I visited, they know all my songs and I was treated like reggae royalty”. Promoters for festivals in Europe have already expressed interest in the entertainer for shows in summer 2010.

Teflon should have left his last show in Spain for Kenya (Africa) but because of lengthy processing of documents for crucial members of his team the trip to Africa has been postponed until May 2010. Due to the anticipation for his first trip to Africa Teflon did not take many local bookings, but he said he is using this free time to re-energize himself and work on his soon to be released album tentatively called “RAGGED & ROUGH”.

Teflon will however be performing on Reggae Fever in Montego Bay on December 19 and Teflon in Concert in Negril on December 30. The “Gun Rise” star will be heading to Canada and then Bahamas in January. Teflon is currently enjoying steady rotation on local airwaves with his new single ‘Lock it’ on the ‘Double Action Riddim’ and ‘Jah answer prayers’ produced by legendary reggae producer Philip “Fattis” Burrell who is also producing the artiste’s new album.
