The Legendary ‘Godfather of Ska’ Laurel Aitken RIP daughter Claudia Yap of CYEntertainments UK is looking to release a number of her father’s tracks. Laurel Aitken born in Cuba, came to Kingston when he was 15 had numerous hit songs the first being Boogie in my Bones which later went to the Jamaica charts number 1 for 52 weeks which was produced by Chris Blackwell, of Island Records. Claudia Yap based in the UK and Jamaica decided it was time to review some of her father’s hit songs and take to the next level.

Miss Yap arranged a collaboration with two of Jamaica’s Rising Reggae Artists as they are currently being marketed globally under CYEntertainments Roster. The track Rude Boy Dreams remix is due to be released in 30 August 2009 along with compilation

CD Tribute to Laurel Aitken with a number of Artists yet to be confirmed this to be marketed worldwide. Miss Yap states that her father still has a strong fan base globally. The track is receiving good feedback with already airplays in New Zealand, US, UK, Ireland, Wales France Germany along with radio interviews with the Artiste’s.

Miss Yap is already talking to a number of distributors at present. The track is set to Be released on CY Entertainments label CY Record Label. The track is aimed for For over 30’s and genres is Reggae/Ska/Hip-Hop. Our aim is to bring back memories
