“This show is a significant one because it brings together the foundation acts and the younger generation of music, namely dancehall. With reggae veterans and the big guns of dancehall together patrons are expected to get their fill of roots, rocking reggae and hardcore beats and their favourite hits of yesteryear and today.

Freddie McGregor is also slated for the Reggae Symphony Concert that will also feature Dean Fraser, queen of reggae Marcia Griffiths and veteran vocalist Bob Andy on Sunday, March 29, at Broward Centre for the Performing Arts in Florida. Accompanied by Lloyd Parkes' We the People Band and the New York Symphony Reggae Strings Orchestra, the featured reggae icons will perform a number of their chart topping hits. Reggae Symphony 2009 is a follow-up on last year's successful sold-out presentation which featured John Holt and Freddie McGregor.

Promising to ignite the genre of cool, rocking beats and a rocksteady groove, McGregor anticipates great music and an equally impressive vibe for The Jamalco Sports Complex, Halshall Clarendon. The will start with a 20-over cricket match featuring team Celebrity captained by Courtney Walsh and team Artiste captained by Wayne Marshall. All this will be accompanied by all day entertainment and a wholesome family vibe, which will climax in the highly anticipated showcase.
